Encryption protects stored documents. A digital fingerprint helps check whether a file has changed. Your signing record brings the evidence together.
Encrypted in storage and in transit
Documents are encrypted in private storage. HTTPS protects the connection to the website. TRACE Agree processes documents on the server to prepare signatures and signing evidence; this is not end-to-end encryption.
A fingerprint for your document
SHA-256 creates a digital fingerprint of the file. Changing the file changes its fingerprint. Source references appear on the stamped pages, and the completed file’s fingerprint is recorded separately in the completion certificate.
Signing evidence you can follow
The page stamp shows the document reference, completion time in UTC and page number. Recorded signing events and the certificate help you review how the document was completed. A visible stamp alone does not prove authenticity or prevent editing.
Backups for recovery
Scheduled encrypted backups include the database, application files and private evidence. Backups support recovery; keep your own downloaded copy of important completed records too.

Can I finish preparing a document later?
Yes. Save your document as a draft, then return to finish the fields and recipients before sending.
Does everyone have to sign in the same order?
You choose. Invite signers together, or use an order so the next person is invited after the previous person finishes. Add copy-only recipients when someone needs the final document without signing it.
What counts toward my monthly allowance?
A document request counts when you send it. Drafts and reminders do not use your allowance. The plan includes one sender and ten sent requests per monthly allowance period, including when you pay annually.
What will I receive when signing is complete?
The completed PDF and its signing evidence stay with the document. Signers and copy-only recipients receive access to the completed copy after everyone has signed.
Can I use my existing TRACE login?
Yes. Use your existing TRACE email and password. The features you see depend on the access assigned to your account.
